Tense Watches design high-quality wooden watches. They are made from 100% recycled or reclaimed wood, and are powered by premium Rondo 6004D Swiss Movements or Japanese Miyota Watch Movements. Each watch is manufactured by hand in their workshop in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The brand was founded in 1971 by professional clock designer Ken P. Lau. He used his expertise in timepieces and craftsmanship with natural components, such as wood, to bring to life a range of watches with quality, style and sustainability previously unseen in the watch market. Still to this day Ken brings his over 50 years of experience as a master crafter of timepieces to the Tense workshop.
